Quick Homemade Shin Ramyun

There’s nothing like a bowl of Shin Ramyun—spicy, comforting, and totally mouthwatering. But when you make it at home, you get to control the flavor, the heat, and the quality of ingredients. 🌶️🍜 If you’ve ever wished for a quick Shin Ramyun without the msg and mystery ingredients, this one’s for you.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups broth (bone, beef, chicken, etc.)

  • 1 tablespoons Mashi Kimchi Paste

  • 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 4-8 dried shiitake mushroom slices

  • 1 serving dried noodles

  • Optional add-ins:

    • egg (raw or previously cooked both work)

    • pre-cooked meat (sliced ham, brisket, sausage, etc.)

    • cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)

    • sesame oil

  • 1/2 green onion

Steps:

  1. In a small pot add the broth, Mashi Kimchi Paste, soy sauce, and dried shiitake mushroom slices. Bring to a boil.

  2. Boil until mushrooms are mostly soft.

  3. Add the noodles.

    • If including a raw egg, crack egg into boiling broth to let it poach in the broth.

  4. If including meat, add choice of meat to pot.

  5. Chop green onion.

  6. Once noodles (and egg) are finished cooking, remove from heat and transfer to bowl.

  7. Top with green onion. Add sesame oil, cheese, and any other desired toppings.
